This is how bourbon drinkers make their Old Fashioned cocktails:

Ingredients

  • 2.5 oz Bourbon
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • 2-3 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
  • 1 Luxardo Cherry
  • Orange Peel

Instructions

  1. Add Bourbon, simple syrup, and bitters to a mixing glass and stir.

  2. Fill 3/4th of the mixing glass with ice, then stir until the mixing glass is chilled.

  3. Add 1 large ice cube and cherry to an Old Fashioned glass. Twist orange peel inside the glass and rub the rim of the glass with the peel.

  4. Strain Old Fashioned into the glass and stir to incorporate the cherry flavor until the glass is chilled.

  5. Serve, drink, and enjoy.
